How do I export my chat?
Here is a short guide for iOS/iPhone and Android. Tap the screenshots for details. Our site works on phones, but reading and analyzing on a desktop is often easier.
Open WhatsApp and tap the chat name.
Scroll down and choose Export Chat.
Select Without media.
Tap Save to Files.
Store the export locally on your iPhone.
You can also email it to yourself and use it on a desktop.
Tap choose file and pick Browse.
Sort your downloads by newest first.
Select the .zip or .txt chat export and open it.
